New Active Home Security System Deters Unwanted Guests
CHATTANOOGA, TN –
As a member of Generation X, we’ve seen the world change in plenty of ways. When we were kids, security systems were dead bolts and motion detecting flood lights over the garage to deter intruders.
Home security systems have taken a few more steps forward since then, and while every tech show has covered some of the latest in smart cameras, I don’t think they’ve covered this one yet…and this is pretty awesome.
Srecko Dumanic is the inventor of EVE. A truly high tech innovative home security system that provides proactive defense and peace of mind for homeowners.
The idea came to him when him and his oldest son were on a trip and were 4000 miles away from home. An intruder broke into his home where his wife and younger son were there along.
“So imagine the struggle. I was looking at this thief coming to my home, unable to do anything,” says Srecko. “So thankfully nothing serious happened and the police got the guy. However it got me thinking, what to do? How to, how to be able to do something even if you are not there. Because you must understand, the point was very very, lets say, interesting was that I have three neighbors here. Males, one of them ex policeman. No one came out to confront the guy. No one made a sound. So they just waited for him to do his thing and to go away. Of course it’s logical because you don’t know that the guy is carrying, you don’t know how he will react. So it’s better to stay closed in house, and I totally agree with this. But, if you want to make something active. I believe this is how, I got this idea for Paint Cam.”
The device uses paintballs, or pepper spray targets and has a laser sight to zone in on your targets. Included with the system is a subject tracking system, so if they start to run, it can track their movements and predict where they will be to ensure it hits the uninvited guest. I already know what you’re thinking – no way this is legal, right? It actually is. The dye in the paint is edible, biodegradable and even if they run home and wash it off, that is too bad because it will still show up under a UV light. It has face recognition so it knows not to shoot your delivery driver, your spouse, or your dog, and it knows how to identify children so as to not shoot them as well. You also have the option thru the app to tell it to stand down. Unfortunately for racoons and squirrels, the system hasn’t been programmed to leave them alone as of now. If you’re curious why this sounds like something you’d see on TV, Srecko is also a technical security advisor for popular shows like CSI.
You can preorder them online now at www.paintcam.eu and they should arrive just in time for Christmas.
