New McLemore Course ‘The Keep’ Will Offer Plenty of Spectacular Views
Rising Fawn, GA-(WDEF-TV) The McLemore golf course in Rising Fawn, Georgia, has received plenty of notoriety. Now they’re building a new course that will likely receive just as many accolades.
Golf personality Charlie Rymer gave us tour of the new 18 on top of Lookout Mountain, which is expected to open in the summer of 2024.
The views over 18 at McLemore are spectacular.
It’s one reason why Golf Digest called 18 the best finishing hole in America.
Now the club is building a new 18 next door that will offer view after view.
Said Executive VP of McLemore Charlie Rymer:”The Keep. Our new course. We have a 50 mile view on every single golf hole here. We’ve got about a mile and-a-half of cliff edge. Every inch of that is covered up with golf holes. There’s no homes on this property.”
Like Rymer mentioned the new course will officially be known as The Keep.
Said Rymer:”A Keep is a Scottish castle that typically is built on cliffs above the ocean, so we thought man, what a nice fit that would be.”
The new hotel at McLemore is already perched like a cliff-side castle.
Maybe 17 will be Castle Rock with the green nestled in a rock amphitheater.
Rymer believes the Keep might become the buzz of the golf world.
Said Rymer:”The quality of this golf course. The notoriety it’s going to get. All of those things are going to work together and I really feel like right here on Lookout Mountain we are delivering a world class golf experience at what is a world class golf resort in McLemore.”
