New outdoor Habitat for Red Pandas at the Chattanooga Zoo

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Zoo officials announce that their new Red Panda Habitat is complete.

The new exhibit has more space with more vertical climbing structures like bridges, tunnels, ladders and platforms.

It also features an outdoor “Panda Condo” for them to hang out in.

You still will be able to see them in their indoor exhibit from the second floor of the Himalayan Passage.

“Our Red Pandas are enjoying their new outdoor habitat! With construction now complete, guests can witness our pandas climb and explore their new space. This project was made possible by those who generously contributed to the Red Panda Rising campaign which funded the habitat” said Dardenelle Long, Chattanooga Zoo President and CEO.
