New renderings of South Broad District unveiled
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – New renderings of the South Broad District were presented Monday at the Industrial Development Board.
3D renderings show the concept for the area surrounding the future Chattanooga Lookouts stadium.
Master developer Jim Irwin says that over a million square feet of office, retail, and residential space is being created in what they are dubbing the Foundry District.
He says these additions will make it more than just a baseball stadium.
Irwin said, “We’ve actually started actually working on a project in one of the historic structures behind the stadium for additional hospitality, through rooms and hotels. We’ve also started thinking about adding the possibility of adding small music venues to complement, you know the stadium itself will be a great place to see a large show.”
The Industrial Board approved the new interlocal agreement that was recently approved by both the Chattanooga City Council and the Hamilton County Commission.
