New School Rankings: Dayton on best list, Sequatchie County on worst
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Tennessee’s Department of Education released their rankings for school systems across the state on Friday.
And we’ve got schools on the best list and the worst list this year.
Dayton City School is one of the ten districts to make the Exemplary List.
And Sequatchie County schools ranked in the bottom ten for districts in need of improvement.
Hamilton, Bradley and Cleveland schools all ranked in the middle in the Satisfactory category.
The state ranks schools for their accountability system based on performance tests and negatives like absenteeism and graduation rates.
