New sport offered for adults in the Scenic City

Katie Lanahan, Chattanooga said, "They’re very strange looking. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I really want to get in one and try it out honestly." Its the newest adult sport Chattanooga Sports League will offer. Its called Bubble Soccer.

Tommy Travers, Chattanooga Sports League Founder said, "This is a unique sport and its cost prohibitive to bring these things to town. Realistically this may be the only time that Bubble Soccer is ever in Chattanooga." The idea comes from Europe, and Travers hopes it’ll make an impact in the Scenic City. Travers said, "After awhile we started thinking about it, and we said this might be a fun little gimmick to bring to town. So we looked into it and there was no local suppliers, so we had to go overseas. And we found a company in China that produced them."

The bubbles allow players to bounce off one another and roll around, all while trying to kick a soccer ball. Travers said, "You are physically strapped into the bubble almost like a park ride. So you are part of the bubble, like the bubble is part of you. So when you get hit, the bubble goes where you go and you go where the bubble goes." Travers believes this will be the sport everyone talks about this summer. Travers said, "If you enjoy soccer this adds a new element to it. If you hate soccer, its about to be your favorite sport ever."
