New York woman charged with murder in Catoosa County
FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia(WDEF) – A New York woman is in being held without bond at e Catoosa County jail after she was arrested and charged with murder.
Jennifer Demott, 25, of Geneva New York is facing one count of murder and one count of exploitation and intimidation of an elder.
According to the arrest warrant, Demott maliciously killed Duane Hollenbeck, 59, of New York by striking him in the head. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, the blow to the head caused blunt force trauma.
According to investigators, the crime happened sometime between December the 8th and December 12 on Alexander Bridge Road in Fort Oglethorpe.
A witness with information into what happened identified Demott as the killer.
