NLRB rules against Volkswagen in union vote
WASHINGTON D.C. (WDEF) – The National Labor Relations Board has just announced that they are denying a request by Volkswagen to review the December union election.
That vote approved about 150 maintenance employees being represented b y the United Auto Workers union.
Volkswagen appealed the vote, saying they would prefer one organization to represent all workers.
In a statement on the ruling, NLRB officials say “the Employer failed to meet its burden of demonstrating that the additional employees it seeks to
include share an “overwhelming community of interest” with the petitioned-for unit.”
