No charges yet in Road Rage fatal shooting

Men argued 3 times before one of them finally shot the other in Catoosa County

RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – No charges have been filed so far in a road rage case Monday night that ended in a fatal shooting.

It happened in Catoosa County.

Investigators say jack Pedigo and Daniel Vaughn got into a heated argument around 8 PM on Battlefield Parkway.

They say that Pedigo then followed Vaughn and his wife to their home on Elm Avenue near the interstate.

Another argument erupted and threats were made.

Pedigo then left and went to his home off Three Notch Road.

Vaughn called 911 to report the incident.

The Sheriff says they put a “Lookout” for Pedigo’s vehicle.

But by 9:30, Pedigo returned to Vaughn’s home for another argument.

But this time, Vaughn had a gun and fatally shot Pedigo.

Sheriff Sisk says “This appears to be a tragic event that is a result of a couple of strangers who lost control of
their emotions in a war of words.”

The Sheriff says they have not filed charges but the investigation is continuing.
