ATHENS, Tenn. (WDEF) — A building collapsed in Athens this week, according to the City of Athens.

The collapse happened at 1416 Railroad Avenue on Wednesday.

The city says the front of the building collapsed, covering the road with bricks and debris.

No one was inside the building when it collapsed, and no one was hurt.

It caused minor damage to the adjacent building as well.

Responders believed the collapse was weather and age related.

They then alerted the tenant of the building and the landlord.
