Nonprofit Launching Study for Potential Performing Arts Center

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A nonprofit organization has just announced the launch of a study to assess the need for a community Performing Arts Center in the city.

ArtsBuild, the nonprofit dedicated to supporting arts and culture in the region, says the study will involve extensive community input, including feedback from local artists, organizations, and residents.

The initiative aims to evaluate the potential demand for such a facility and its impact on the local cultural and economic landscape.

The study will examine a variety of factors, including current arts infrastructure, community needs, and economic viability. Surveys, focus groups, and public forums are all part of the process to ensure that voices from across the city—from artists to educators to everyday residents—are heard.

If the study supports the need for a PAC, the project could mark a significant step in the city’s ongoing efforts to grow its arts community and strengthen its role as a cultural hub in the Southeast.
