CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – For 100 years, the Northside Neighborhood House has provided hope, empowerment, stability and opportunity for those north of the Tennessee River.

For this 100-year anniversary, the Chattanoogan Hotel held a breakfast to honor those who were instrumental in the development of the Northside Neighborhood House. They held this breakfast at 8 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2024.

The NNH said they are committed to providing the evolving needs of their community for the next 100 years.

“Northside Neighborhood House has been a great partner for Hamilton County schools for a long time. But, specifically, since 2016 with the community schools,” said school superintendent Justin Robertson. “Now serving over 10 schools right now, and impacting thousands of kids, so it’s a great organization and we are excited to be here to help celebrate 100 years with them.”

NNH explains that they use a holistic approach to meet the neighbors where they are. They aim to ensure these people are housed with working utilities, and to help students achieve academic success.
