Northwest Whitfield High School Mourns the Death of Coach Bob Williams

It’s a day of sadness for Northwest Whitfield high school.
Girls head basketball coach Bob Williams has passed away after fighting cancer.

Williams took over the Lady Bruins program in 2018, and he took the team to the state playoffs five straight seasons, including a pair of elite 8 runs the last two years. Before going to Northwest Whitfield, Williams coached the Walker Valley boys basketball team. He also served as the girls head basketball coach at McMinn County. Williams also took both of those programs to the state tournament.
