Notre Dame High School hosts premiere for Chattanooga based documentary

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Saturday night, Notre Dame High School hosted the premiere for a movie based on, and filmed in, Chattanooga.
Hollywood filmmakers, Veronica DiPippo and Marc Aramian, debuted their award-nominated docudrama, “Father Ryan: A Higher Call,” during a special gala at 7:30 p.m..
Father Ryan, a priest at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Chattanooga, died Sept. 28, 1878, while caring for victims of the city’s yellow fever epidemic.
“Chattanooga has an incredible rich history and stories about Chattanooga need to be told, and it needs to be told to the entire world,” said producer and composer, Marc Aramian.
Well-known Chattanooga locations- such as Reflection Riding and St. Elmo- will be featured in the documentary.
“People come from all over the country now moving to Chattanooga, and they don’t really know about the history and we didn’t know about the history, and it’s really fun to learn about that,” said writer and director, Veronica DiPippo.
Aramian said the crowd even gave a standing ovation.
The movie will air on EWTN, internationally, September 28th- otherwise known as the anniversary of Father Ryan’s passing.
There will also be a showing in Knoxville, TN on May 6th.
