NWS Morristown confirms two tornadoes in last nights storms

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The National Weather Service (NWS) in Morristown, Tennessee has confirmed tornadoes were produced from last nights storms.

NWS posted on Facebook their preliminary storm survey results found two tornadoes from the February 6, 2025 storms.

One EF-2 tornado was confirmed in Deer, Lodge, Tennessee, located in Morgan County, with maximum winds of 135 miles per hour.

CBS News reported that a mother and daughter were killed during this storm, and at least three others were injured.

Another EF-1 tornado was confirmed in Thorn Hill, Tennessee, located in Grainger County, with maximum winds of 110 miles per hour.
