Oakland Uses Big Fourth Quarter to Beat Bradley Central 38-17 in 6A Semifinals
Cleveland, TN-(WDEF-TV) Oakland out-scored Bradley Central 21-0 in the fourth quarter to beat the Bears 38-17 in the Class 6A semifinals on Friday night in Cleveland. Bradley Central trailed 17-3 at halftime before getting their offense in gear in the third quarter. Boo Carter scored on a short touchdown run to make it 17-10. Then it was quarterback Kaleb Martin on a quarterback keeper stretching over the goal line on another short touchdown run to tie the game at 17. Then the Patriots took over in the final quarter. Daune Morris scored on a 28-yard touchdown run to make it 24-17. Patriots got an interception on the Bears next series that set up a five yard touchdown for Morris. Morris is a Red Bank high school transfer, who scored four touchdowns on the night. The Patriots are gunning for their fourth consecutive state title.
