Oktoberfest Chattanooga 2024
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Market is hosting the 23rd annual Chattanooga Oktoberfest this Saturday and Sunday.
This is a weekend long celebration that serves as a chance for the community to come together and celebrate with this German tradition including dressing in German costume and giving life to this tradition in so many unique ways.
Along with the German festivities, Chattanooga market vendors are able to play a part too with hundreds of makers, farmers, and food artists showcasing their talents to make for quite the festive weekend of entertainment and shopping.
Accompanying the live music, there are a variety of seasonal treats, drinks of all sorts, and traditional German foods to delve into.
As the festivities continue, participants are likely to experience one of the most notable, fan favorite events – The Wurstbrats Oompah Band.
The band will be playing all weekend long with plenty of polka dancing and of course, chicken dancing as this dance is a fun, easy-to-learn, and internationally recognized tradition.
As the contests including a Brat toss and Stein Hoisting Contest are set to continue taking place, make sure to grab your friends and family and head on down to the Chattanooga market for a toast to tradition.
