Old and potentially new districting maps for Tennessee

Today we are getting a closer look at Tennessee Republican’s redistricting map.

The following map is the current Tennessee districting map:

Today, Republicans are proposing the following changes:

This could affect our area by moving Rhea and Meigs counties out of Scott Desjarlais’s district (Dist. 4) into Chuck Fleischmann’s District (D-3).

Otherwise, it eliminates the Memphis Democratic district and rearranges several Nashville counties.
