CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Olympic gold medalist, Olivia Reeves made history on August 9, 2024.
She won gold in heavy weightlifting at the Paris Olympics. Now, she’s adjusting to her newfound fame as a 21-year-old college student at UTC.
Reeves has competed for the better part of her life. She looks forward to her bright career in heavy weightlifting as a renowned Olympic Champion.
Her local community has flooded her with support over the past few weeks. Now, she will formally receive the key to Chattanooga on September 3!
The City of Chattanooga is partnering with multiple organizations to throw her a special parade at UTC. The parade will start at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3 on UTC’s campus.
