One dead after Dade County house fire

DADE COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) —  A house fire in Dade County left one dead Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to 99 Byrds Chapel Road for reports of the fire.

New Salem, South Dade Fire, Dade County Station 1, and McLemore Fire crews all responded to the scene.

According to the Dade County Emergency Management, firefighters extricated a patient who was already deaceased.

The house fire was fully involved and was a total loss.
