Death toll rises to three in Bradley Co. fire

UPDATE:

Bradley County officials now say two more victims have died from the residential fire on Live Oak Trail Sunday.

75 year old Benjamin Lawrence Jr.’s body was found in the remains of the house.

93 year old Benjamin Lawrence Sr. and 73 year old Adrian Lawrence were both taken to the hospital.

But they both later died from their injuries.

Investigators say the cause of the fire will be listed as “Undetermined.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lawrence family and all those impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy. We extend our deepest condolences during this difficult time.”

BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bradley County Fire Rescue responded to a residential fire on Sunday, leaving two people severely burned and one dead.

A call came in for the 300 block of Live Oak Trail at 6:26 P.M.

When crews arrives, they found heavy smoke and intense flames consuming the home.

Firefighters entered the residence and found two male victims. Bradley County EMS immediately provided assistance. Both victims were taken to Bradley Medical Center in critical condition, and were transported to a burn center in Atlanta for further care.

As firefighters worked, they discovered a third victim inside the home. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Bradley County Fire Rescue, the TBI, and the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office are all working together to determine the cause of the fire.
