One killed, two more injured in Polk County crash

BENTON, Tennessee (WDEF) – A head-on crash in Polk county Tuesday has taken the life of one person and sent two others to the hospital.

The Tennessee Highway patrol says a car driver by 58 year old Deloris Stewart crossed the center line on highway 314 just before 2pm.

It hit a Dodge Caravan carrying two people on the north side of Benton.

Stewart, who was not wearing a seat belt was killed.

The two people in the second vehicle were taken for treatment.
