One person dead in fatal Ashland Terrace crash, police say
UPDATE (2/19/2025): Chattanooga police have confirmed one person died in a fatal accident on Ashland Terrace Monday afternoon.
Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to the 700 block of Ashland Terrace for a crash report.
Upon arrival, officers found a three-vehicle crash involving a 2015 Jeep Rubicon, 2021 Nissan Armada, and 2013 Honda Civic.
According to CPD, officers found the driver of the Nissan, a 39-year-old male, deceased.
The drivers of the Jeep and Honda were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation was conducted by CPD’s Traffic Unit.
Preliminary information reveals that the driver of the Jeep was traveling east on Ashland Terrace and for unknown reasons, crossed into oncoming traffic.
When the Jeep driver crossed into oncoming traffic, they struck the Nissan head-on.
According to CPD, the Honda was not able to stop in time to avoid the crash and also struck the Nissan.
CPD also stated charges are pending.

According to the Hamilton County 911 website, crews responded to the 700 block of Ashland Terrace around 12:30 p.m. for a multi-vehicle accident with entrapment.
The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has stated that 700 block of Ashland Terrace was closed in both directions, it has since re-opened.
