One-time Riverbend ‘hero’ Suzy Bogguss is back to play the festival
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – A true Riverbend hero is playing the festival Thursday night.
We’re calling Suzy Bogguss a hero because back in 1989 she stepped in after a last minute cancellation.
Jerry Lee Lewis had to cancel his performance for medical reasons the day of his performance.
So then-rising-star Suzy Bogguss stepped in.
Bogguss said back in 1989, "I’m really excited. So no, it doesn’t feel like I’ll get to be with more folks. It’s a real great opportunity, because I’m wearing my sparkly dress and it’ll show better at night."
She takes the Unum stage Thursday night at 8:00pm.
