Ooltewah student killed in Snow Hill Road crash
UPDATE (September 19, 2024, 4:05 p.m.) — More details have been released about the fatal crash on Snow Hill Road.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) released that at 10:40 a.m., a white Ford F-150 was traveling on Snow Hill Road when it partially came off the roadway.
HCSO’s initial investigation revealed the driver over corrected by turning left, then proceeded to lose control of the vehicle.
The vehicle was then overturned, partially ejecting the driver.
Officials pronounced the juvenile driver deceased at the scene.
HCSO reported there was no one else in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
This incident is still under investigation by HCSO.
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) — An Ooltewah high school student has been killed after a crash this morning.
Hamilton County Schools confirmed that tragic news to us this afternoon.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says this crash occurred on Snow Hill Road right behind Ooltewah High School.
Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department further confirmed that this was a single vehicle incident with one car off of the roadway.
HCSO blocked off Snow Hill Road for hours while investigating the crash.
The student’s identity who was killed in the crash has not been released.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the crash, the sheriff’s office is still investigating.
