OOLTEWAH, Tenn.  (WDEF) — An Ooltewah man is facing charges after luring first responders to his home by reporting a house fire.

When firefighters arrived, they say there was no fire.

Instead, police reports say the man just wanted firefighters to get his pet cat out of a tree.

18-year-old Trevor Lane made the call Monday from his home on Hunter Road.

Police say he is charged with a 911 violation, and his bond was set at $1,500.

Several units from the Highway 58 Fire Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department had responded.
