CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Hamilton County will see overnight construction on Market Street from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Cherokee Boulevard.

The nearly $1.8 million project,  awarded to APAC Atlantic, Inc. in March 2025 and is expected to finish by October 31, 2025.

Work will happen Sunday through Friday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to minimize daytime traffic delays.

Expect lane closures and short detours during these hours.

On-street parking will be banned in the work zone to allow full resurfacing and ensure safety.

Drivers must obey no-parking signs or risk tickets and towing.

Paving should be done by August 15, weather permitting.

Afterward, crews will repair concrete at several intersections, with dates announced later.
