Participants triple in size to support the Austin Hatcher Foundation’s 3rd annual ‘Bubbles Fun Run’

The non-profit raises awareness and funds to support families, patients and survivors facing pediatric cancer.

Chattanoogans showed up to support pediatric cancer through the Austin Hatcher Foundation fun run.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.(WDEF)- Bright and early on Saturday, February 25th, Chattanoogans showed up and showed out to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer.

For the 3rd annual ‘Bubbles Fun Run,’ the Austin Hatcher Foundation welcomed 427 participants, tripling the amount just since last year.

Runners and walkers were given the option to sign up for a 5k, 10k and a one mile race.

They began and concluded their race the Tennessee River Park off Amnicola Highway. Packet pickups began at 7 a.m. and the race commenced at 8 a.m. on the dot.

The Austin Hatcher Foundation is a non-profit that has been providing free therapy and clinical services to pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their families since 2006.

Chattanooga’s Jim and Amy Jo Osborn created the non-profit after they lost their infant son, Austin Hatcher Osborn, to pediatric cancer.

For the last 17 years the organization has served more than just the Chattanooga area.

This year was the 3rd in a row that they have hosted the Bubbles Fun Run for all interested to participate in.
