Pedestrian Struck at the Same Location as Shooting
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)- Early Sunday morning dispatch simultaneously advised police of pedestrian struck and then dragged some ways down the road at the same location of a shooting around the 2000 block of E. 23rd Street.
The police conducted a search for the victim, but were not able to locate him. During the search police located an abandoned vehicle in the 1500 block of S. Hawthorne.
Two hours later police were notified by a local hospital and advised them that the victim of the collision, George A. Watkins, 27, was on the scene. Due to the victim’s injuries the victim was then transported to another hospital in the area.
Watkins is listed as in stable, but serious condition.
No driver information is available at this time.
The Chattanooga Police Department is requesting the assistance of any individuals who attended the party at 2000 E. 23rd Street last night. If you attended this party or have information concerning either incident please call 698-2525.
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – At approximately 2:14 a.m. the Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on reports of a person shot. The victim, Ontario Price, 30, reported that he had been at a party at the 2000 block of East 23rd St. when he heard gunfire. Price suffered a non-life threatening gunshot would to his left foot. There is no suspect information available at this time and the Chattanooga Police Major Crimes Investigators are conducting an investigation.
