Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run on Brainerd Rd

Chattanooga Police Department has announced the victim of the pedestrian struck accident on 5321 Brainerd Road has died from his injuries.
He died on December 15, 2025.
They have identified the victim as Robbie Wimpy.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Saturday at 6:50 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a report of a pedestrian struck at 5321 Brainerd Road with critical injuries.
According to CPD, the pedestrian was standing in the middle of the two-way turn lane at 5300 Brainerd Rd. when a vehicle entered the turn lane and struck the pedestrian.
Police say the suspect vehicle left the scene and is described as a white Chevy Colorado truck.
The 55-year-old male victim was transported by Hamilton County EMS from the scene to the hospital, where he is currently listed as critical but stable.
