Pensacola Snaps Lookouts Seven game Winning Streak

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Josh VanMeter hit a two-run double in the sixth inning, leading the Pensacola Blue Wahoos to a 6-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts on Monday. The victory snapped Chattanooga’s seven game winning streak.
VanMeter’s double scored Nick Senzel and Gavin LaValley to give the Blue Wahoos a 3-1 lead.
Pensacola right-hander Austin Ross (6-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing one run on six hits over six innings. Opposing starter Randy LeBlanc (2-3) took the loss in the Southern League game after giving up three runs and five hits over 5 2/3 innings.
Gavin LaValley helped seal the Blue Wahoos win with a 3-run homer in the top of the 8th.
Despite the loss, Chattanooga is 9-1 against Pensacola this season.
