2 arrested, 2 shot in East Ridge Monday

UPDATE:

The East Ridge Police Department said two people were arrested for the shooting on Poindexter Avenue.

Additionally, EMS took two people to the hospital for gunshot wounds. Police did not give the status on the victims.

The police department said the two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, and a witness described that vehicle to police.

Then, an officer found the suspect car on South Seminole Drive. They added that the suspect fled “at a high rate of speed,” and the officer lost sight of the car.

Not long after, they found the vehicle wrecked into a tree.

Officers searched the area and found the two suspects. The suspects fled on foot, but police ultimately apprehended them.

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — We are working to learn more about a shooting that happened in East Ridge on Monday.

It happened at 817 Poindexter Avenue shortly after 1 p.m.

This is at a home close to Ringgold Road.
