Person taken into custody after multi-state pursuit, shots fired

HIXSON, Tennessee (WDEF)- Chattanooga Police Department said a suspect is in custody after a multi-state police chase

The chase ended on Highway 153 near boy scout road in Hamilton County.

The search for any other suspects has ended after a pursuit led authorities from Georgia to Tennessee.

CPD said at one point during the pursuit a suspect fired shots at GSP.

153 in Hixson was closed for several hours Saturday night and early Sunday morning as law enforcement searched.
