Pet of the Week: Bill!
This handsome 4-year-old mixed breed boy has a sad story, but we are hopeful for a happy ending!
Bill came to HES after his unhoused owner was admitted to the hospital.
With nowhere to else go, Bill was taken to HES by our Animal Protection Officers.
Assured that his beloved dog would receive the best care, Bill’s former owner said goodbye to his friend.
The love these two souls shared is evident in the great care and condition that Bill was in when he arrived to the shelter. Potty trained, friendly and socialized, Bill even knows some basic obedience, and is a loving and gentle dog.
Bill is now looking for a fresh start and a forever family to love him!
A favorite among HES volunteers, they couldn’t say enough nice things about this sweet guy. He passed his behavior assessment and we think he would do just fine in a home with school-aged children and older.
Bill attends playgroup with his canine friends, where he enjoys chasing and wrestling.
He likes to “box” with his front paws and can get rowdy with playmates, but he takes corrections very well! He would be happy as a single dog or sharing a home with another doggie friend.
If Bill sounds like the dog for you, we encourage you to fill out an adoption application on our website, and come to HES to meet him today!
