Pet of the Week: Billy Joe!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Meet this week’s Pet of the Week: Billy Joe!
I’m a 1-year-old, 63-pound bundle of goofy, lovable energy just waiting to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a best friend who can keep you laughing and snuggle up with you at the end of the day, I might just be your guy.
I’ve got that classic “big puppy” vibe, meaning I love to play, especially with other dogs who can keep up with my enthusiasm! I can get a little persistent when I’m having fun (what can I say, I really love to play), so I’d do best with dog friends who don’t mind a little roughhousing. When I’m not playing, I’m all about the cuddles. Seriously…I love people, and I’m happiest when I’m right by your side soaking up attention.
Walks are one of my favorite things, and I’m proud to say I’m a pretty good leash walker. Take me out on a trail or around the neighborhood, and I’ll be your loyal adventure buddy.
My story started a little rough: I was bought at a flea market, and while my owner cared about me, they ultimately couldn’t afford to keep me. So now I’m here, making the best of things and showing everyone what a good boy I am. The staff say I’ve been sweet, even-tempered, and just an all-around great dog since the day I arrived.
I’m great with kids and would thrive in a home where I can get lots of love and attention. A fenced yard would be a dream so I can run and play, but I’d also be happy just being with my people. I’m likely housebroken, do well on a leash, and I’m ready to keep learning all the good house manners, I just need someone willing to teach me.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, slightly goofy best friend who will love you with his whole heart… I’m right here waiting.
