Pets trapped in Trion house fire

TRION, Ga. (WDEF) — The Trion Fire Department fought a mobile home blaze early Monday morning.

A home on Plum Street caught fire just after 4 a.m. The building was fully engulfed in flames, and the home next door was on fire as well.

Additionally, some trees and items in the yard were on fire, according to the fire department.

Firefighters searched the home and said no one was inside. However, some of the family’s pets were trapped in the building during the fire.

The Red Cross is now assisting the family in need.
