PGA Tour Pro Stephan Jaeger Enjoying Partnership With McLemore Golf Club
Rising Fawn, GA-(WDEF-TV) The McLemore Golf Club added former PGA tour pro Charlie Rymer to their staff last year. And then this summer, current PGA tour pro and Baylor grad Stephan Jaeger joined the McLemore payroll. He’s charged with promoting the golf club while on Tour. Jaeger and Rymer both agree, that promoting the scenic course ain’t too hard.
Wasn’t hard for Stephan Jaeger to lend his name to McLemore.
Jaeger feels the mountain top course is like an oasis.
Said Jaeger:”Every time we come up here, it’s so peaceful. It’s kind of like a get-away for me. To be able call this place home as well is special. I’m really excited to be apart of it.”
Jaeger has played many of the best courses in the country, and he admits it’s hard to beat the 18th at McLemore.
Said Jaeger:”You get on and 17 is kind of back in the woods a little bit. You don’t really get to see the par 5 down the hill. You drive your cart kind of down this winding road. You get to the 18th tee box, and you’re like whoa.”
We may get another Keanu Reeves like whoa when McLemore opens up a sister 18 in another two years.
Said Rymer:”I think we have a chance of having a top 40 golf course very easily. For the Chattanooga market to have a world class hotel. Two golf courses potentially in the top 100 in the world. That allows us to become a global golf destination.”
Jaeger advertises McLemore on his tour bag.
He also advertised a solid game down the stretch this summer.
Said Jaeger:”To be able to be hey like, I didn’t my best stuff this year and to finish 89th in the FedEx Cup I think is pretty special for the future. I feel like I’m more comfortable out there.”
Golf is so much easier when you’re comfortable, but Jaeger admits he had one uncomfortable moment on Tour, and it wasn’t even on the course.
Said Jaeger:”I was going into the physio trailer to maybe get a stretch in or like a warm-up in the gym, and Tiger walked out. I could barely get hey out. And he said hey back. I was like. The whole day I was like this is the coolest day of my life. Tiger said hey to me.”
