Pickett County man arrested for stealing from a Disabled American Veterans fund
Byrdstown, TN (WDEF) – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents arrested former DAV Commander Glen Williams for theft over $60,000 Wednesday.
The TBI started investigating missing funds from the Honor Guard financial account of the Hull-York chapter of the Disabled American Veterans in Byrdstown last August.
They found the theft happened over a number of years started in December of 2013.
Agents determined that 65-year-old Williams was responsible for the thefts.
He resigned from his position.
Williams was indicted by the Pickett County Grand Jury Monday.
He’s at the Pickett County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
