Pigeon Forge music theater closing after this season
PIGEON FORGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – An icon on the Pigeon Forge strip is calling it quits.
The Grand Majestic Theater is opening its final season this week.
This year, they are offering the shows Soul of Motown, Grand American Opry, and The King Comes Home.
But after the season, the Grand is closing for good.
The music theater has been operating for almost two decades.
They will be replaced by a new attraction from new owners next year.
“The decision to make this our final season comes only at the notice that the property and building we have called home for the last 12 years has been sold to a developer to make way for a new attraction in 2027,” theater officials posted.
