Plum Nelly Hosts Art Depot Show

Trenton, GA (WDEF) – Plum Nelly held its inaugural art depot show in Trenton over the weekend. 25 artists were featured at the show, and more than 300 people from Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee came out to see their work.

Plum Nelly’s store is actually located in Chattanooga’s Northshore, but organizers say they wanted the show in Trenton because of its unique mountain art culture.

Sue Gridley, organizer, “We picked this area because there is long history of art, a lot of people don’t know that, but for decades there’s been artist colonies kinda hidden away in the mountains here. Artists love the beauty. The other reason we wanted to have it here in Dade County is there’s other things about Dade people don’t know about. I mean, we’re only 20 or 25 minutes away from downtown Chattanooga.”

The show was also presented by the Alliance for Dade.
