Police charge suspect for 2018 body left in a dumpster

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have arrested a suspect for a murder that happened almost three years ago.

The body of 60 year old Robert Townsend was found in a dumpster bin on Laura Street in the Glenwood neighborhood in July of 2018.

The dumpster was near an apartment complex.

Now police have charged 54 year old Vincent Nash with murder, aggravated robbery and abuse of a corpse.
