Police investigate death of man fleeing from police

COLLEGEDALE (WDEF) – Investigators are looking into the death of a man who was fleeing from Collegedale Police Sunday night.

It happened near the Walmart on Little Debbie Parkway.

Collegedale Police say officers stopped him behind the store, but then he took off running.

They say a K-9 unit eventually found him in the woods, but he was dead.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the investigation.
