Police: man trying to recover stolen property was shot
Police charge suspect with both the shooting and with theft
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Police believe a confrontation over some disputed property lead to a shooting Thursday night in Bonny Oaks.
The incident happened after 9 PM at a home on Stockton Drive off of Bonny Oaks.
They say a 20 year old man tried to confront 62 year old Christopher Johnson over some property he claimed was stolen.
But that Johnson pulled a gun and shot the young man in the leg.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
Johnson faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and theft.
