Dalton man who took inappropriate pictures of a woman identified

UPDATE (September 11, 2024):  The suspect wanted for taking pictures up a woman’s skirt in Dalton, yesterday has been identified.

Detectives are currently seeking an arrest warrant for this individual.

Dalton Police want to thank the public for sharing the story.

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) —  The Dalton Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in identifying a suspect who took a picture under a woman’s dress.

This incident occurred August 24, 2024, at the retail store, Ross, on West Walnut Avenue.

A woman was shopping with her 9-year-old son, and while looking at makeup, the suspect walked next to her and her son, knelt down, and then walked away.

The 9-year-old told his mother that the suspect had just taken a photo under her dress.

She then followed the suspect out of the store while calling 911.

Once he realized she was following him, the suspect started to run away.

The victim kept chasing him up Tibbs Road from the Ross’s parking lot.

She lost sight of him near Christ Church Presbyterian on Tibbs Road.

Police responded to the scene and checked inside the church.

They were unable to locate the suspect.

Ross’s surveillance footage shows the suspect returning to the parking lot 45 minutes later and leaving in a black SUV.

Officials believe the black SUV is a Kia Sorrento.

The suspect is described to have dark hair, facial hair, glasses, and was wearing a black t-shirt with “I HAVE DECIDED” written on the front chest area.

He also had black pants and a white shoes on at the time.
