Polk County deputies seize $53k worth of meth in traffic stop

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has seized over one pound of methamphetamine with a street value of $53,000.

According to the Polk County TN Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, deputies tried to pull a vehicle over for a traffic violation when the driver attempted to flee. The Sheriff’s Office says the driver was apprehended in a short period of time.

Deputies say the drugs, along with $700.00 in cash, were found in the vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office says that Randy Earl Greene was taken into custody and charged with numerous felonies including Evading Arrest and Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale.
