Polk County Football Coach resigns after 19 seasons

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Polk County High School football Head Coach Derrick Davis resigned from his position as head coach.

Davis coached for 19 seasons in a stadium named after his father, Larry, a former coach.

Davis informed students of his resignation this morning.

The football team tweeted that “The community and program will be forever grateful of Coach Davis, and his family, for their commitment on and off the field at PCHS. He has been an influence on many lives for the community.#PRIDE #PCHS
