Poll shows most Americans oppose additional Ukraine funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS) — A new poll reveals that most Americans are against providing additional funding to Ukraine.

Independent research company SSRS conducted the CNN poll, which shows that 55% of Americans think the U.S. should not send more funding to Ukraine. In contrast, 45% of people say the U.S. should provide additional funding.

Additionally, 51% of people believe the U.S. has done enough to help Ukraine, and 48% say America should do more.

71% of Republicans, 38% of Democrats and 55% of Independents say the U.S. should not authorize more funding to Ukraine.

59% of Republicans, 39% of Democrats and 56% of Independents say the United States has done enough to help Ukraine, all according to the poll.

SSRS conducted the poll throughout the month of July. Over 1,000 adults nationally participated in the poll.
