Power Outages and downed power lines remain after Sunday storms

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) Downed limbs and trees are still causing some trouble around the area this morning.

A tree fell on a car this morning on Hollister Road on Signal Mountain.

Rescue crews got the driver out okay.

Here are the latest street closings by power lines in Chattanooga.

Downed trees

We have reports of downed lines on South Seminole Dr.in East Ridge, Blair Road in Collegedale, Lancaster Avenue in Red Bank, Lovelady Lewis Road in Soddy Daisy, Hummingbird Lane in East Ridge and Cash Canyon Road along the River.

The Electric Power Board is still working to restore power to customers scattered across their service area in Hamilton County and North Georgia.

The latest outage map shows gains in Soddy Daisy, Red Bank, Ooltewah and East Ridge. But they have picked up new outages in Collegdale and Ft. Oglethorpe areas this morning.

Georgia Power reported more than 200 scattered outages across northwest Georgia on Sunday, though they expect most of them to be restored by now.

The affected areas were New England in Dade County, Ringgold, Dalton, Varnell and Chatsworth.

UPDATE:
The Sequatchie Valley Electric Cooperative outages are now down to 6 customers still without power this morning in the Dunlap area.
