Prescribed burn taking place near Park Creek Elementary School

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) —  A prescribed burn will take place near Park Creek Elementary School over the weekend.

On January 4, 2025, residents who live near the elementary school can expect to see smoke throughout the afternoon.

The burn is scheduled to take pace been 11:30 a.m. ad 4:00 p.m.

According to the City of Dalton, the burn will take place in an area covering approximately 2 acres near Mill Creek.

The burn is being conducted by Coosa Ecological, LLC.
