Pride of the Southland Performance at Finley Stadium

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – On their 215-mile journey down to Athens, Georgia, the University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Marching Band made a quick stop in Chattanooga to perform their famous halftime show for all to hear.

With almost 350 members of the band, the Pride is said to be the soundtrack for the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

Recognized as one of the most prestigious college marching bands all throughout the United States, the Pride has continued to energize crowds all around the country throughout the last 155 years.

The band performs at all home and away games, bowl games, band exhibitions, and even has had the chance to perform at presidential inaugurations.

Each member is carefully selected through a rigorous audition process to represent the historic college band. Performing since 1869, the UT Knoxville band is one of the oldest collegiate band programs in the world.

The Tennessee Vols and Georgia Bulldogs will play Saturday at 7:30pm eastern time in Athens, Georgia with both the Pride of the Southland Marching Band and the Redcoat Marching Band set to take over during halftime.
